Welcome to Self Shelf. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Self Shelf ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Self Shelf. Clinicians must hold a valid, active license in their jurisdiction and maintain all required credentials throughout their use of the Platform.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your profile current.
  • You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to any third party.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Clinician Obligations

Clinicians using Self Shelf agree to:

  • Maintain licensure and professional liability insurance as required by their jurisdiction.
  • Provide services within the scope of their license and professional competence.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional ethics codes.
  • Execute and comply with the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.
  • Notify Self Shelf within 5 business days of any change to license or disciplinary status.

5. HIPAA Compliance

Self Shelf operates as a HIPAA-covered platform. Clinicians who use the Platform in connection with providing healthcare services must execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Self Shelf. All users agree to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

6. Prohibited Conduct

  • Providing false credentials, licenses, or professional information.
  • Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Accessing or attempting to access another user's account or data without authorization.
  • Transmitting malware, spam, or harmful code.
  • Using the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Reverse-engineering or attempting to extract source code from the Platform.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, loss of licensure, or any conduct that we deem harmful to users of the Platform or to Self Shelf. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

8. Disclaimers

Self Shelf provides technology to support clinical practice but does not practice medicine or therapy. We do not guarantee the quality of services provided by clinicians on the Platform. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Self Shelf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
